Clockwork Racing Engines and Products...

The modified B6 is very powerful....it has no issues pushing a truggy on our track that has very high traction..... It has a substantial amount of work done to it....exhaust port is cut, boost port is cut, transfers are cut, head button is cut, crank is cut, piston is cu etc. etc.... Now I also can also custom tune a engines powerband to suit your needs if you so desired....For example I have had customers who run on astroturf need a engine with substantially more bottom end then the engines we typically run over here......I have pretty much full control over how much power an engine can make, and where in the powerband it will make that power...As well as how aggressively the engine will respond to throttle input....... As a rule all my current modified engines will all have very strong bottom ends..I find engines work better on the track if they have stout bottom ends...they are usually easier and more forgiving to tune on the LSN, they are also more forgiving and more flexible on clutch tuning...they can be tuned from mild to wild very easily.....When a engine has good bottom end efficiency they tend to have a much broader sweet spot on the LSN and still make usable power...If a engine is light on bottom end they tend to become too picky to tune on the LSN...the needles has to be set perfect or the engine won't make usable power....

2nd clubrace tonight with the fire 11 in buggy. WOW!!! I know now this thing will eat a clocked b5. It has power TOP Middle and Big Bottom. Wicked in a buggy. tonight i ran a 7mm restrictor, M2C 4 shoe 2-1.0,2-.95 springs. werks 2058 pipe, byron's 30-9% fuel. I was able to get 8-8.5mins.

I asked this question over in the RB thread and it was recommended to ask you,
I have a 2058 pipe for my Werks B6, but I am waiting for a new LSN to arrive and not sure if I am going to get it in time for Saturday. Have you run the RB K10 with a 2058 pipe? Will I see the performance gains and milelage improvements over a 9901 pipe? I am happy the way the K10 does performance wise, but mileage is terrible compaired to my B6.
Thanks
And on another note how much better is a Clocked B6 Pro compaired to a Clocked B6? I am getting ready to be in the market for a new motor for next year and your clocked b6's seem to be the place to go for a moderatly priced race engine.

I run a JP3 on the K10 type engines...and no matter what they seem to be hard on fuel compared to a B5 or B6....
The Clocked B6 and B6 Pro have identical performance, the difference is the pro has ceramic rear bearing, black case and lightened cooling head.... But power from the two will be the same...

Congrats on your business Neal. Site looks very good except no drag race engine modifications
......lol. I know man, there's no place in your area that does that type of racing. What are your thoughts though on the new Picco Torque .21 on-road engines? I have one of the EDO versions that I am going to try first.
You dyno a clocked P3 lately? What kind of HP/TQ you get out of those. I don't see you pushing those as much as the Werks engine
.

.I make these new RB's faster then the Picco's !!! lol.....but I play by different rules then the other guys do
! My modified Picco P3 keeps breaking my dyno...so no full runs yet...I did learn it makes great power in the low end and midrange...but shakes like a mofo on the top end, which results in a powerband that falls flat on its face on the topside.... ..Have since switched to the Nova 28-7 which has just as much bottom and mid but a whole pile more top end...
Drag race mods are all about internal weight reduction and very little in regards to increasing actual load carrying power...My work is usually based solely on increasing the engines load carrying power...in fact I add weight to my cranks on many of my engines....I am now well equipped to do some trick lightening mods, but without a dedicated test program I am just taking pot shots in the dark.....

Anyway, Neal could you explain the powerband of the modded Weks B6 comparerd to the modded Nova P5XLT? My OS XZ-B was showing a little bit of some weird symptoms this weekend and I need to start thinking about another engine very soon! I am just curous of how a modded XZ-B would feel compared to the others?

Wow, that is a paint scheme I have never seen before!

That is awesome to hear.... what kind of runtimes were you seeing ?

The track was too difficult to get good calculations. I usually do timed practice tanks. I couldnt keep it upright. Surface was wild. Plus i was rusty from 2 months off and a new buggy. Plan to race there this sat, so hopefully ill come back with a pretty accurate answer

Last night was a another clubrace with my clocked fire11.
In the buggy with the werks 2058 pipe, m2c clutch 2-.95/2-1.0 springs. I pushed it to empty 11mins.
Wow! What a awesome engine!!
Power was unbelievable!
