Default Airtronics MX-3X

Could anyone reccomend a battery pack for me to run in my MX-3X?
Am currently using AA's, but wanting to upgrade to a life/lipo/nimh pack to save the hassle of keeping AA's on hand.

Do you need a regulator with that as well, or does it handle the 2s fine?

handles it fine. In the owners manual says ok to run 2s.
