Default Tekin RS Question

Hello,
I am asking this here because it has been impossible to register on the Tekin forum. I have tried multiple times and have called Tekin about it and still have had no luck. When I tried to reregister, I keep getting the prompt that I am entering the wrong security code - I can hardly read their codes because they are fairly misshaped and there are so many streaks through them it is hard to tell if you are guessing the correct letters and numbers, even though they say they are case insensitive. They only give you so many chances, so I give up after so many times trying, even reregistering per their instructions. So I am hoping someone here can please answer my question.

I have a new Tekin RS speed control. I also have a Pro that I am using with a DX3R Radio. However, with the new RS, I am using an older DM2 radio with a newer micro receiver. I have had no problem binding that receiver or using the older radio in the past. I have the 212 software downloaded into the RS (I also did my Pro - no problems).

The one thing that I do notice about the RS is it took more than one try to get it to calibrate with the older radio. But now that the 212 software is installed, I notice that when the car is turned on and just sitting in neutral, every 10 seconds or so, the front panel on the RS will flash all the lights on the panel twice - just like when you first turn it on, except there is so sound made. Can anyone tell me what might be happening, and am I damaging the speed control? I have never calibrated it to the newer DX3R radio, which I may end up having to do, but for now I wanted them on separate radios.

The DX3R has model match, which is a real pain, and often the radio won't work unless you rebind using model match when changing models. (It refers to this in the instruction booklet - that you must do that step when changing models). To my knowledge, it is the only radio that has that - I think that feature was a huge flop and no other models had it. I wish this one didn't.

Any advice anyone that knows Tekins can give me would be appreciated regarding the flickering light panel with no sound. Thanks!

Oops, I meant to say there is NO sound when the panel lights flash twice after it has been sitting turned on in neutral.

I answered this question already but in case others see it. Some of the older dsm systems will drop a signal pulse. The RS is sampling fast enough to catch this.

IT will not hurt the performance or operation.

Thanks, Randy. I posted this before I wrote to you. I had gotten a PM from a fellow regarding this later also. Thanks for your help. It does seem to be working fine now.
