Good running with you as usual Nick and thanks for the help finishing up the track on Thursday eve.
Now onto Josh's results, first time racing the Clocked engines for Josh, he qualified 3rd in Buggy using a clocked NINJA JXBO2, Neal did some unique work to the engine for Josh as he is on the gas hard to say the least. Josh finished right where he started, 3rd, but had more power than he has ever had out of an engine. Ran perfect all weekend temping between 220 -250 and getting about 8.5 minutes run time, which for Josh is real good..
We used a Werks 2058 pipe/header on it with the Ascendecy clutch. I have a feeling that Neal will be offering up this engine real soon.
In Truggy, he qualified 4th and finished 4th in A main, used a Nova Rossi Bonito as recommended by Neal. By the time the mains came up, the engine was perfectly broken in and this was the first time ever that Josh said he had more power than he could use in a truggy, we did have to get Nick to bring along a M2C clutch to put in it so that he could use the power in the engine, all the other clutches we tried slipped some. We used a OFNA 086 pipe/header as recommended by Neal and it was the ticket.
Thanks to Neal and John for the engine support, like Nick mentioned, the next Nitro race in this area with be at the Motodome again during the winter months unless we travel south to warmer weather.

Thanks a Million Jeff for everything you do for the series and us the Racers. You da Man Cool guy.
Josh was On It out there this weekend, There were a few quali's where i was running with him (not on his exact pace) but in the end I was Pleased with where i finished, With the WI guys there it was a STACKED A-main in both bug and trug.
PS can you check the results and How Greg Bohlmel (sorry for hacking up the last name greg) put a lap on me in the Buggy A ? Could have sworn we were on the Same pace and swapping positions back and forth for the whole race with pit stops n what not. Could I have missed a lap ?

I figured the Ninja B02 was going to rock..... IMO it is the best of the new XZB engines .....

Nice work Nick! Racing in MN sounds like it would be a blast! These Clocked Bonitos are the real deal, with usable power to spare, from bottom to top..I love mine, by far my best engine to date.
Jeff, there must be alot of fast guys in MN if Josh was in 3rd
..because that boy is F-A-S-T! Say hi to him for me
Neal, that P5 you modded looks like it's going be part of my arsenal for next season..I'll save my Bonito for race day
You really seem to know how to squeeze performance out of any nitro mill
! Keep up the great work.

They are definitely a really nice engine... IMO they are one of the first times that I felt a really expensive engine stood head and shoulders above the crowd in terms of performance... As you know I can usually squeeze plenty of power from almost any engine regardless of price.... But these Bonitos definitely do show something special in the low end that we don't find in other .21's.... With the ultra long stroke the engine is able to produce usable power at a much lower RPM then the shorter stroke designs...which IMO makes them one of the best truggy engines I have come across....Everybody who has driven one has absolutely loved the feel of it in the truggy...without question it is a very unique engine .......

Well it certainly shows Neal. Your engines pretty much speak for themselves..about the best way to 'show' someone how they are, is to just let them drive one and let them see how they feel, and that's important when I'm racing ( or playing )..but dude, this Bonito, well you know..

Neal I may just have to go nitro again for next season, just to see and experience how much more refined your methods have become.
I actually find it hard to believe you can make a better buggy engine than the Mr ninja you made for me almost three years ago. Best engine I've ever laid my hands on. It will always be special to me......eh, that sounded a bit weird.

I have far more resource at my disposal then I had back in those days...I have a dyno, our own test facility, and a awesome crew of guys willing to help us test, evaluate and improve the engines.... We get great feedback from the guys on what should and could be improved....And by using the dyno I am able to know exactly what each little modification does, which allows me to custom tailor my modifications to dramatically improve the engines on track performance.....
We also get to run all of these engines head to head and back to back over and over again.... On varying different surface conditions as well as track styles....I have recently devoted a great deal of time improving the tuning the characteristics of the engines... Finding ways to make dramatic increases in power and performance without hurting the engines tuneability or stability in race conditions.....Having had such a strong Team of guys running my engines locally has given me a opportunity to fine tune my engines in in the hands of many different users with a broad spectrum of skill levels...From 1st year novices to 17 year veterans.....As i say I have never before had this much resource to work with...The latest engines are going to be substantially more dialed in and refined then ones I was doing 3 years ago.... tho I still do many of the same things today, its just now they are much more focused and effective.....
