Default LIPO Battery brand recommandation

I know this topic might have been discussed before. However, I looked through this forum and couldn't really find what I am looking for.

I am looking for a good and reliable 50c 5000mAh or above LiPO battery. can anyone suggest a brand that is within a reasonable price range? I have seen many with a $80-$100 US price tag. for me that's a little too pricey.

There is a brand called Gens Ace that many on this forum recommanded because they are good and cheap. But they are always out of stock. So I am wondering if there is a similar product. I am not looking for the fastest battery out there. I just want one that will last run after run.

Gens Ace has a very reasonable price tag of around $40 US. I came across this product called Tiger Power Lipo on EBay which is around $36 US shipping from Hong Kong. Anybody out there tried this product?

I run 4 from this brand. Work perfectly well. Bit over your budget but well worth it!
This brand only makes batteries... So you know they know what they are doing.

try hobbyking and get there turnigy nanotech 50C or better hard case packs. Last weekend one of those won the A-main with some considerably fast competition. You should be able to pick up a very high C rating with over 5000mah for under $40 easily.

Just make sure to purchase from their USA location as they have warehouse's serving other countries.

Thumbs up

Just wait for the gens ace to be back in stock. They can't be beat for their price. They go on sale for under $30 buck each frequently

Absolutely! Best packs I own are Gens Ace. The only complaint i have, is the wiring. I had to make my own bullets for it, lost connection all the time with the harness they send you. I only use it for charging. Use the one i made while racing.... But, for the price and performance they are unmatched. That's just my thought's though....

Agreed, I only use the leads that came with the lipos for charging. I make my own running leads with castle creations 4mm bullets.

thanks for the input guys.

i looked through all the links and thought the Hobbyking Lipo are in similar price range of the Gens Ace. Guess what. they are out of stock too.

so i think i'll get the SPC ones as they are only 10 bucks more than the Gens Ace.

your welcome and you won't be disappointed.

I'd put that up against most $100.00+ batteries and very few can tell the difference.

I run the Gens ace ones but it was mostly due to stock at the time of my purchase. I easily will run either gens or turnigy nanotech. I can tell a difference with the 20C turnigy ones but they are only $20.00 ish.
