I have,i have had the silver ones that came in the kit, they worn out so i replaced them with the factory team blue ones and they were worse, than i finally bought the jconcepts flanged blue wheel nuts and even they back off, this issue gets ridiculous.

So how are hexes going to resolve the problem?

most likely not but what im really saying is if the wheel nuts loosen just a little bit the wheel will strip,if the wheel nut loosens with the hexs on i might be able to catch the issue before it occurs.

Maybe your wheels are very imbalanced causing vibration?

the main reason for rear hex wheels is if your wheel nuts loosen up, u wont strip out the wheels like the older style ones! u might strip the plastic axel hexes, but atleast the wheels should be okay!

Exactly and plus B and B hobbies is finally carrying the buggy rear and front wheels so wheels are easy to find.

No, he's talking about why the Blue and Brown fronts are longer than the Silvers, Black, etc. I always wondered the same thing.

K, I'll have to check that out but will also have to check more about what rims I'll need. All sc wheels work for rear and what about the front buggy wheel? Is that the wheel dude showed me? Are their buggy 2.2 hex rims only for rwd buggies? Just a little confused on the hex swap and what alls needed for the conversion, that's it. Will do a little more research now,lol..

So I'll need hubs "which ones" for the wheel bearings?
Hex's for the wheels obviously,lol.. The only ones I see still have the pins to hold them?
Anything else?
Really thank everyone for the replies and help on this..

Hi all

sorry if the question's been asked, not necessarily on this very thread as these pistons have been used since the 90's now...

what's the oil change associated to a piston change to keep static (ie non pack) damping equal?

Say - what oil is needed with a #2 piston to get the same static damping as a #1 piston with AE 35WT oil? same question with #3 of course (although I've only ever used 1's and 2's...)... Either this can be measured empirically or approximated via smart calculations...

thanks

Paul
