same part number that is in the manual. I think they figured this was the "fix" to the stripping problem.

The fix for me was to buy the Jurgen pieces, but now they are so thick they don't fit. I can only use the stock one way now, even the penguin back plate makes it too thick!

Anybody find a spool that works with these new gears?

madjack- you mention 96/44- is this for a 19turn? if so what 19turn did you use?

It was the handout 4 mag Reedy motor geared at 5.67 (not sure that I would gear that tall for other 19t's but the Reedy seems to handle it ok)

From what I hear the EVO 4 uses the motor mount and center brace from the EVO 3...samples arrived yesterday at Tamiya America. Which, if history is correct the kits should be stateside in about 2 to 3 weeks

I know speedtech has been taking pre-orders for the kit...with a little luck we should be testing at the end of July.

was the com full or did you cut it down small?

I had a chat with Blackstock about gearing these up, he said to cut the com very small and gear up to get the speed. Whats your opinon on this

I would listen to Mike on that...he has a direct line to the Race dept.

(by the mains I had cut my com 5 times...guess you could say it was on the smaller size, I'll try to find the motor and give you a measurement)

5.6 wow that's a tall gear, how hot does it get? My Reedy 19 now comes off the track at 155 deg and that is geared at a 7.0. Our straight away at Scotty's track, er ( Trackside) is shy of a 100ft. What is the length of the Tamiya track?

Just buy the "415 Reversible Suspension upgrade pack".

You need the longer 'bones, new knuckles and 950 bearings.

hey guys for the tamiya tb evoulution three is there an option for a transponder mount?? Ive seen some little bits of carbon pointing out of other peoples cars so are these bits options or custom made. Any ideas on how to make one?? Any pictures?? drilling holes into my shell stuffs the look of the body

may be its me but the transponder mounts you speak of looks like the the carbon graphite battery tie down strap cut in half and stuck to the top of the servo

evo4 comes with a plastic transponder mount piece that you are supposed to tape on your servo. Which means that you will be able to buy it as evo4 part when it becomes available. I'd say just tape the actual transponder on the servo.
