I would like it to be a Super Stock 17.5 2wd Buggy class this year, there is truly a difference in driving when you have a slower motor, it's all about consistency and clean driving, it's awesome....

This class, I think, will attract more people to participate in 2wd buggy....Just my Opinion....

Don't be fooled, most of us 2wd Mod guys would not be able to beat the Top 10 guys in the 17.5 class at the JC race.....

Off course I'm running 2wd Mod also....

But what if ppl have these super dope programmable esc, Mark ain't (yes ain't) teching a damn thing. I mean it'll just be unfair as usual so why not just stick with mod, we both no whom these ppl are and its not even worth the headache. Yeah yeah I'm running 17.5 so what it wheelies the entire back straight

Mike,

Found a bunch of Associated T4/SC10 truck parts. (arms, etc) I'll bring them wed in case you know of anyone who may be interested in a cheap lot of parts.

I'm talking for the Grand Prix's Limited Buggy class, just make it a 17.5 limit....

Listen,
At RCHR, a properly geared unboosted car, can beat a mod 2wd buggy any given day....look at the times for the Vintage Nats and the Mod times from Wednesday racing....whether boosted or not, they're still close....

At RCHR, I would run a 17.5 buggy in Mod all day long and still be fast.

Motor has nothing to do with how fast you are at RCHR, its the fast line.....

Once again its just a suggestion for the Grand Prix only....

Just let us know when a decision is made. If its 17.5 then I will just have to take it out of my SC and put in the 22.

If they declare"no boost" they tech . They tech'd top 3 drivers the last few times when "no boost" was the rule.

Personally I don't care Mod or 17.5 or 13.5.

I'm always for a spec class, but we did learn a lesson last time this was tried....most guys dont like change, or learning how to gear a car properly, or adapting to slower motors. Or above all, buying something else for another class.

But Freddy, I know where you are coming from,
Not really a bad idea, most people have a 17.5 in their box.

As for the boosted issue, over half the crowd has no idea how to adjust boost / timing parameters properly, and even if the rule is NO BOOST , their is still people using esc's with advanced timing
And thinking they arent ,yet they don't even realize that (as is the case with most LRP's) and this is what throws off short course.

So IMO, a motor limit is a motor limit, if people want to use timing/boost, that's up to them, we all have a choice which motor we choose as well as which esc we choose, as well as ....the time we take to learn how to use it to it's potential.

i agree a 17.5 buggy class would be fun they looked ultra smooth at rce. and royce has been dominating that class for a few years now, so there is definetly a well set goal in chasing him. but i also think a few of us need to sit down and design a track that would actually seperate the stock class lap times from the mod class. its time our whole crew (not just brandon) stepped it up. i think we need to design a rythm section that is fun for stock but also has a different faster rythm for the mod guys that is somewhat technical but also consistant. If any of you race or watch motocross thats what really seperates the big boys from the young guns. that and corner speed but i think we are a little limited on sweepers in rchr.
Hopefully ill make it down tonight and some of us can discuss these things and start getting ready ahead of time instead of last minute. We need a good plan and time to build a really good fun track for everyone who shows up. Lets try and help mark and john make this years grand prix the best one and get this indoor season kicked off with BANG.

Tom,

I like your take on the whole thing, I think you made a better point than the one I made....in our past Grand Prix races, the top guys in limited, based on times and laps, could hang around in the Mod Class with a 10.5 or 13.5....with a 17.5 (no boost) there's more of a separation in classes.

Like you mentioned, at RCE 17.5 class, the top 5 guys were nowhere near in laps and lap times as the 2wd Mod guys...the 5 pack made the biggest difference....

Sounds good to me Dan, I still have mine and I can always use some parts.

Joe B, that would be great thank you.

We can have a 17.5 non-boosted 2wd buggy class at the Grand Prix. Here is what I want to see....

1. Nobody crying about fast guys/ sponsored guys shouldn't be running in the class.
2. Nobody crying about somebody else cheating.

3. Speed control has to have a blinking light in neutral - no exceptions

If I had my way, I would make everybody run the same Trinity Monster locked timing motor, but that will not happen this year.
