I actually used about 3mm tubing in the front shocks and did some other tweeks. I think it's doing a little better. I really like how with the tubing in the shocks it doesn't look like it's going to tilt over when turning anymore. LOL!!!
It's all trial and error.

I did the STRC conversion on my slash 4x4 and I try to fit the Protoform PF8 body on it... and it look like the body is about 10mm to wide on each side... I saw some use this body and it look to fit ok
I used Ofna "OFN86026 - WHEELS, V-SPOKE WHITE 1/8" and "OFN86052 - OFNA 1/8 Buggy Tires, GTS Treaded (2)"
Is there a body out there that fit better?

What hurt me is that I'm using Tekno M6 Driveshafts so I'm stuck with those adapters. If you use the stock drive shafts, someone out there makes adapters that have 2, 4, and 6mm off sets. That would help the lid look better. For now, I'm happy with what I have and it works for me. if you find something, post. Thanks!

I don't have any pictures just yet, But I'm currently almost finished wiht my GT8 lite conversion. It's based off a slash with an SSC LCG chassis. Extremely light and low profile, it was actually running oval with a 9t 1.10 touring car and doing well in the straights. I was very impressed. Picks will be forthcoming
one question- are the ofna tires/wheel good enough to get started with?

I couldn't believe it was running on par with a 9t motor in that tc5.... it handles VERY well btw, if you can control the body roll issues. I'm still working on that... I'm thinking stiffening things up may help.
I know a lot of you don't like to share setup tips etc..... but would yall recommend going back to a slipper in the center? What about locking the front diff?

I would run front shock towers in the front and the rear. Run the Revo shocks all the way around. I'm going to see if the revo spool will fit in the front to lock the front up. Most people run a slipper, but tighten it all the way down to act like a spool too.
This is going to be so much fun !!!! I just can't wait.

Here's my SSC LCG gt8 lite. The electronics are NOT mounted down in this pic.
Front shock tower in the rear as suggested. Running stock front shock up front, traxas metal bodies in the rear. The rear arms pretty much bottom out at neutral, the fronts travel just slightly below level. I'm more curious as towhether it's worth limiting the UP travel just a bit, or do I need to leave it alone? Will the revo shocks make that much of a difference?
