UGGHHH!! I had one of my best/worst nights of racing in years. Buggy running Clocked B5, I didnt qualify all that great with 2 pro drivers (Ryan Maifield) in our class last night, but a short dust storm sent them both packing and for the main It was me and a 8 other drivers who are close in speed, except for 1 driver who is head and shoulders better than me. The main started and I was in the top 3 for the first few laps when I found clean passing lines and watched the 2 guys in front of bobble and was able to open up a half lap lead on the field. At about the 10 minute mark of a 12 minute main, I was checked out and cruising when the front pinion set screw backed out on me and gave me rear wheel drive only. Lost the lead on the next lap and then my center diff grenaded from the heat of no load from the front tires. The entire center diff case melted and I was done..Oh well.
My first time ever racing in truggy I was running me New Clocked Nova+4 which had more than enough power for me. I missed the first heat due to technical issues, but managed a respectable 5th place start in the main my first time out. For the second main of the night I was able to check out early and opened another 1/2 lap lead on the field. I few bobbles and laps later my buddy Keith was right on my tail and we got together on a jump face and I crashed hard into the marshal area and broke a steering link end I can proudly say while I was in both races I was winning . Both engines were flawless and had no issues whatsoever with either one. Good runtimes, smooth idle, gobs of power and both mills performed like Clockwork..Unfortunately my crashing and lack of thorough inspections cost me 2 podiums at least..Oh well..got some wrenching to do now.

I bought a used D8T with aluminum upgrades from a friend..gonna roll this bad boy until the A8T is released..It was really fun and allot easier than buggy. I like the fact that you can always be on the throttle and the truck does not get all stupid like a buggy..its the perfect platform for Neal's engines. I doubt I will race it at the NC, but I probably will for the warm up race in November..hoping you can make that..Be a nice preview of me kicking your butt...

Not rolling the truggy at NC... I completely understand I would be scared of the snake bite too.

When is this warm up race?
