Other than a Tekin,

It's a toss up and many have reasons why one is better than another.

The new Orion ESC. Looks real good
Tekin. Rs will work, but a Pro would be better. Still 300 bones
Mamba Max Pro. Not the smoothest system on the market, but will get the job done. I ran a 5700 for a while.
Viper. They are pretty new to the market, but looks pretty decent.
LRP. many like them and I have a old Sphere in my 2wd.

You could also try some of the hobby wing stuff and Speed passion. I think both of those are fairly cheap to come by.

If all alse fails, hit up the flea bay. That's how I got my Tekin setup cheap.

Default Why no bearing supporting the spur?

When I built this thing I thought it was odd that the spur gear wasn't supported on the slipper shaft by a bearing. Losi's used a bearing on the spur forever and it really helps keep the spur concentric to the slipper shaft. Has anyone tried machining the spur gear to get a bearing to fit? I don't like the fact I can press on the spur and get it to move perpendicular to the shaft.

Are you using the stock spur? I just finished mine and it fits nicely on the shaft.

I am going to purchase a regular B44. I assume I will need to buy a lipo cradle. Is there a certain side saddle pack I should get? I hear some have a hard time fitting them into their cars.

Most of the current gen LiPo Saddle packs in a hard case seem to be the same size so you shouldn't run into too many issues.

The hieght of the saddle packe could be one issue if you're trying to run like a 6000 MaH pack.

Yeah stock spur. It fits on the shaft nice but its still not bearing supported. I don't why it bothers me, but it does.

I have a B44 that needs new steering blocks and arms. Will the new B44.1 steering parts interchange? What changes are there? Thanks, Troy

Anyone have any thoughts on gearing with a LRP X12 7.5 for general bashing with long straight runs.....
