Well, see you guys in a couple of months. We head out to the hospital tomorrow to have a damn baby. Keep LiveRC up for me please.

The grandparents are already arranging to make Thursdays the visit the baby day. So, that means racing for me, hopefully.

Good luck to everybody at IIC, I'll be watching between naps and diaper changes.

don't sound so enthused, your parents had to do it too. Kids are portable, they can travel to the track...

Hey Guys,

I will be at the track tonight to get some much needed practice in if anyone else would like to join me. I was at the track on Sunday around 5:00pm (Looks like I just missed Art and Ryan.). I was able to get consistent 10.5 and at around 28 lap pace (which is improved from last Thursday by 1 lap.). I took the advise and implemented it regarding going at half speed around the track and having a game plan for how to attack a new track. It really helped out as the laps showed more consistent. Thanks again to all that have helped me so far. I still have a ways to go but I am getting there.

See you all at the track.

Regards,
JD

I might come out to join you. I have some things I want to try on the F1. I would like to see if I can get in to the 10's with lap times. Not sure what my plans are tonight with my parents getting back in town.

I would also like to give your club some money for the track time and to help support your awesome setup. Would it be easier to just bring some with me or do you guys have paypal type setup I could use?

Cash or check only i believe. Jim McGee and Mario Ficco are the folks you need to pay.

Good to see a new face at the track. Looking like F1 is starting to catch on.

FYI, Everyone at the track is very helpful from car setup to driving so don't be afraid to ask for help.

I will be there around 6:00pm or so. I have a key so I will let you in. In regards to the money I would wait until Tuesday or Thursday and pay Jim or Mario like bkspeedo said.

Any idea on when those that are interested might meet to hash out the rules for the F1 classes?

I would meet but living 3 hours from the track I will not be there much.

Honestly do not worry about the rules much at first. Get the cars out on the track. Go with very simple basic rules first maybe just silver can and 21.5 motor, other than that let it go. This is what is killing on road racing everyone wants to debate rules vs driving the cars.

i really think what you guys need to do is come out and just run an open class for a few weeks. get 6 or 7 guys out running and see what different combos feel like on the track. give it a few weeks and see what the general feel is. then we can come up with some kind of specs that everyone can agree on.

i will tell you this. when you do come to some sort of an agreement on what is going to be the spec combo, some guys will be happy, some will say it's too fast, and some will say it's too slow.

what ever you do, we just need to get you guys out on the track and see what works the best for everyone.

I think everyone that has a F1 bring it out Thursday. Just run what you brung. After we can discuss what rules would work for the class. Like al said lets see the cars on the track first then see which setup we like better.
