The front holes for the front end are different also the shock tower and top plate. The only thing that is exactly the same is the bottom plate. You could bolt either pod plate on the bottom plate but you would need to have the top plate that goes with the pods.

Couple of questions ..

1. If you were to build one up from scratch, would you prefer the AE or Serpent kits?

2. What shock is that in the AE pic? looks like a silva but not quite sure

3. Do you need offset hubs to help center the axle?

4. Can you tilt the servo upward (does it hit the top deck) or is the intended configuation to have it flat on the chassis?

5. Are there any holes drilled out for battery positioners?

Sweet looking car.

1. If you were to build one up from scratch, would you prefer the AE or Serpent kits? It depends on your budget and if you have either one of the cars already. The Serpent will be a little more expensive if you don't already have one, but If you do have one, the pod plates dont come with that kit so you can use the ones from the serpent. In which case it will be the cheapest route, having a serpent already. If you are starting from scratch the Ae one will be a little cheaper.

2. What shock is that in the AE pic? looks like a silva but not quite sure, Hotbodies.

3. Do you need offset hubs to help center the axle? Not unless you use Xceed or crc rear tires. Jaco/parma/mobgum you dont need the off set hub.

4. Can you tilt the servo upward (does it hit the top deck) or is the intended configuation to have it flat on the chassis? Its intended to sit flat.

5. Are there any holes drilled out for battery positioners? In the production chassis there will be locating holes for a 3mm screw and nut to keep the battery from moving round.

Thanks!

What pivot ball do you use to mount the front of Hot Bodies shock? I tried to put one on my 120L and had to sand down the all to free it up. Hurry up with the kits, I want one NOW11

Never tried Xceed tires, so not sure of their offset. How about Jaco/Parma/TRC?

We are using an AE ballstud with our new shock mount that centers up the shock.

Is there anything coming for the WGT racers? My local club has an interesting motor / speedo rules package for this indoor season that is making that class look very tempting.

Which body posts are those shown on the OP12C? I remember ones a long time back that looked like that but had a slot in the bottom for a small metal nut in the base of the body post. I've been looking for that type of body mount for a long time. I always seem to strip out the plastic ones.

Those are Serpent body posts that first came out for the tbar car and have not changed. The front body posts have a little protective shaping at the base that can be seen. The rear ones are just standard shaped posts.

The body mounts that had little square nuts that you inserted into them were Corally body mounts.

As soon as we get the 12th stuff out I'll be working on a WGT conversion.

Will the associated damper tube conversion work with either the 12r5.1 or the 12r5.1 lipo conversion?
Thanks

I haven't seen the new car up close so I'll have to see if it can work for both. My guess is no but we might make one for both.
