The b4 is as good as the competition. I would like the bleeder caps to have a oring for the screw. Could use a metal cap. I think the difference in the springs is that the Kyosho spring is progressive and the ae is linear. Could be wrong though. The other thing is the tolerances. Pick up a Rb5, not as much slop in the a-arms, wheel-axles, c-hubs. Please tighten up the tolerances and we'll have a more consistent world beater. I've owned AE's for over 30 years. My original and still running RC10 doesnt have the slop of my b4,and b4.1.
Come on AE Just better shocks and we have the greatest car still.

The B4 came out around 2002-2003 if I remember right. AE and Losi usually take awhile to come out with something new. That being said, it's been awhile since AE has released something new. The b4.1 doesn't really count as a "new" design, just a refined one.

why fix something that is still plenty good enough to slap the competition off the tracks . People got to understand Set-Up. Tuning,Maintenance,Practicing,AND most importantly these are toy cars .
Wicked up some 22's wednesday night out @ Outback RACEWAY . LONG AS I CAN STILL DO THIS AND HAVE FUN THEN THE CAR (B4.1)IS MY CAR OF CHOICE .

Nowhere close. The B3 came out in 2000, and the B4 came out in 2003. We are long overdue for a B5! Even though the B4 is just as competative as it was then, there is still vast amount of room for improvement. Vertical ball studs on rear hubs, better/more robust materials, better shocks, etc... The cars natural geometry, gearbox, diff, and ease of maintenance is where the car's strengths are...

While I defend the sloppy parts on the .1's because the car works it doesn't mean I like it. K cars have always been "tight" and the new stuff from TLR seems to be as well and both of those cars work just fine. So I hope AE takes a really good look at this issue. There's no reason AE can't make a tight car that works, other companies do..

I do wish it were more smooth, which will make cornering a bit easier..

Yea that makes sense, I've no problem keeping up with 90% of the buggies/trucks on the track on the straight. And I know for a fact those 22's are running something more powerful than 3300Kv motors..
