well it could be timed higher like the Speed version of the XZB...the new Speed has substantially higher port and crank timing then the regular XZB

A guy once told me, for these little two stroke engines, long stroke most often means more RPM. That's because you can time it for more RPM without loosing too much on bottom, which is always a trade off.

Think about it, all high end onroad engines are long strokes and those are really made for high speed.

what do they really have to gain by making it almost identical to the speed but a good bit cheaper? If it is timed/ported like a speed, has the dlc and a rod like the speed?

I love ninja!

I can relate to your post to a T Its hard when your a 1 man show. Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day to get everything you want/need to get done some days when you work just one job... Add 2-3 to it and its that much harder.

What would be a good pipe for the new ninja?

Looking for mid range with good fuel economy...

The new Ninja was at the track last weekend in Chiba, Japan. Most of the Mugen team was running it. Very fast engine!

Not sure. Didn't think to ask. We were both busy between the qualifiers and the race. They all left for the FEMCA championships today so I wont see them for another two weeks.

That looks like Zeni's Buggy with the new Ninja. My guess is just looking at the mud guards.

It's not his but he was running the new engine. Same one Kenji was running at the Worlds. Zeni is posting regularly on Facebook while at the FEMCA Championships.

Default Ninja JX 21 B02 Engine

Here is the press release:

It will be available in 2 weeks, I am accepting pre-orders. http://kamikazercracing.com/proddeta...d=NINJAJX21B02

New Product:

Ninja JX Engine .21- 3 Port Off Road Buggy/Truggy
P/N: JX21B02

Description:

This is the Ninja JX21B02 .21 Off Road Buggy/Truggy Nitro Racing Engine. To improve on the Championship winning Ninja line of engines was quite difficult but with all of Mugen Seiki Racing race technology they have created the ultimate power plant for any 1/8 Buggy or Truggy.

Mugen Seiki teamed up with O.S. Engine to create this new 3 port long stroke with a new piston/sleeve design. The long stroke creates a stronger more linear power band from low end top fuel high end speed! The crankcase and crankshaft are redesigned for better performance and higher fuel economy. The light weight cooling head is 10 fins high but it sits 8mm lower than the previous Ninja engine. This truly gives the JX21B02 engine a low center of gravity.

The JX21B02 engine will be available in July 2011. Once again the combination of Mugen Seiki Racing and Ninja has made the JX21B02 engine another step above anything other engine on the market!

Features:

- Low profile light weight cooling head (approx. 8mm lower than the B01A engine)
- New piston & sleeve (3 port long stroke)
- New profile head button
- Black anodized crankcase
- Black anodized carburetor with 7mm restrictor
- New crankshaft with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating
