Default Digital Servo compatility

Hey i am intrested in getting a Digital Servo but am unsure if they will work with an AM receiver/radio

Im glad this thread poped up.

Im thinking of buying a new servo aswell, what should i look for in a good servo?

Yes a digital will work with AM. A good servo depends on what you expect from it eg speed, Tourqe & price

Yes digital servos will work with most radios but you should be careful connecting two to the same channel eg. in monster trucks with four wheel steer some recievers dont like it and will require a direct power to the batt to work without glitching cheers

Yes digitals will work on AM/anologue radio sets but it wont work to its fullest potential. Its best to be used with high end radios that are fully digital most radios have a function to have the radio transmitter set it from digital to normal frame rate. if you want a good servo get a FET servo. And what you look for is torque and speed. for steering 8kg+ and .1 secs or faster. and for throttle, .1 secs or faster torque is not an issue for throttle. for electric cars 4kg of torque will do but the speed principle applies as the same for gas cars.
