Murray, that is TC size, 260mm wb, 200mm wide. The DF03RA are normal TC size, 185mm wide, 256mm wb at their long setting.
And yes, the Rally Weapon wasn't too bad. All the slop and stuff didn't seam to matter off road

Muzz that body is a 200mm body and you can use the extenders to make them fit the DF03.. the Sparrowhawks come with 190mm as standard and CNC extenders if you want to use the 200mm bodies thats a good thing as you can have a greater choice of bodies and styles... Check D-Drive english site under Tourers and you can see the Group B shells there otherwise HPI has Just released new offerings including a very very Hot Looking Martini Ford Focus.. Get yours ready you know you want to

Here is the Link to some nice Group B Bods!! 200mm well actually about 195mm ..

Here is my Citroen XSara in 200mm

What hop ups would you require for a DF03RA?
I would assume alloy motor mount, front one way, front steel outdrives.
Are the kit tyres any good and does anyone do after market ones?
Any ideas on how an FF03 would go ie ground clearance, suspension travel etc These are getting a few supporters at CH on road. The pro version has all the hop ups you need.

the alloy steering set.Changing the spur gear to a thunder tiger sparrowhawk
70t 48 pitch is a good idea but you need to buy the slipper clutch set or dremmell a slot in the spur gear for the drive pin. Also because the battery goes in from underneath the chassis some cutting was needed to fit the lipos that I had.If you havn't already bought a car the thunder tiger sparrowhawk
is a good alternative as it needs less money spent on it to make it into a rally car.The tamiya kit tyres work ok but the thunder tiger rally tyres are better.

Trackster we do the kits yes they are around 170 they come as an on road much like the TT01 Kits 17T Motor Brushed Touring body no ESC but with wheels and tyres on road they are very solid tho as they have full steal diffs front and rear and cv's all round Shocks arent bad but I recommend either Tamiya or GPM Mdium Shocks with medium/soft springs.. We tested the TT01/Yokomo/TA05 and one of The 3 racing chassis but they did not hold up.. further more a Friend also Tested a HPI E10 that also lasted 10 Minutes... Our cars now have been well punished and have lived to rally another day... DB03 From what I can tell is also holding up well... We currently have 9 hawks out there with an Order for five more ...

I think they compare and in some aspects surpass.. Steel diffs means you can lock and use diff oils to gain better adjustment you can source parts locally and they have been rock solid.. mind you I have used a number of mods to make the car idiot proof and am putting a list together of a few things not many required to make this car bullet proof.. at phase 3 of testing now and I think I have it stitched up..

Tamiya do the Lancia Delta, Evo IV, V and X, a couple of Subies, and a Datto 240Z for the current DF03. There's also the older bodies - Evo VI, VII, Escorts, etc. There's heaps out there if you can type the word 'Google'. Then other brands of course.....

The car already has an alloy motor mount which works fine. There is a one way for the car but I don't have one on mine.Front steel outdrives would be nice but the standard ones are holding up well so far after a few weekends of running.Best hop ups would be universal shafts and a brushless setup also

Dont worry if it says Out of Stock I always order from these guys usually 1-2 weeks presto and by the time you work it out its 60 bucks to your door work out the price of the Tamiyas and then figure it out.. Mind you Im trying to bring this range in so you may find em here shortly.. Hope this helps..

comes with cvd's and parts are easy to get and cheaper than tamiya.Sparrow
has sealed gear diffs vs tamiya ball diffs and many have reported problems with the df03 diffs. The sparrow is easier to fit a lipo in and has a lot more room on the chassis. The tamiya has a 3.056 tranny ratio making it difficult to get good top speed without using a higher kv motor. Both cars perform very well on the dirt but the sparrow will be cheaper to maintain or fix and much better parts availability. The tamiya is a good car but a bit of a money pit
