Yeah, I figured that was the answer. Had one vote for 086 and one vote for JP-1, so probably there isn't a clear choice here. I guess i'll break it in with the 086 that's on my buggy now, then start experimenting until I can get a Werks. If these engines are as good as guys say they are, I will be needing one!!!

Didn't look into tri nitride coatings, which are half as durable.
You don't need it anyway. the steel on this crank is very hard
would be cool if you could just by the coating and just dip and go

what is this going in. I have tryed the 086 pipe on the b5 and i didnt like it. it seemed to choke it up alittle bit in my opinion. jp-1 would work good but if in buggy it would be really torky. this is my 2 pennies

I ran the B5 with JP1 in a buggy for a full season. The only thing I found lacking was low end smoothness which I was able go partially compensate by using a steel flywheel. The runtime was good but not 2057 level by any stretch.
I also tried the GO 0801 but it was a terrible match IMO.

if i remember right the losi pipe is an all a round pipe. So should be ok. but nothing like the werks pipe. werks all the way. ran b5 this weekend at midwest nitro rd2 in monroe, wis. had some tuning problems, but blktransam came to the rescue and took 2nd and bumped to a higher main. thanks ron for making a great product

Just about got done with the break in today and man, I have nothing but good things to say about this motor. LOTS of bottom end torque out of turns and top end for the long straights. I was running about 220 at the end of break in and I was going quicker than my Tekno Hara D8 on the straights. This engine has alot more potential too! Might take it out to the track Wednesday to get up to race tune
Rons engines are truely one of the beest!
Keep it up.

Finished the 1st gallon on my Clocked B5 Pro! So far I'm loving this engine. Long run times, easy to tune, smooth powerband. Nice temps too. It's nice and powerful, but I have yet to get it to the track and see what it's like in a race environment. Can't wait!

Just a question, Do you guys know what causes the idle to get stuck in mid-air? I was at the track yesterday and I would do the triple and let off the trigger but the buggy would stay at a very high idle and the front end would start coming up. I looked at the servo and everything looked okay. The servo was centering and the end points looked right?
Any ideas? Air leak maybe?
PS I use Hitec 7955TG servos
Thanks
Eddy
