Clockwork Racing Engines and Products...

Well my WERKS B6 PRO arrived today, after a short stop at CLOCKWORK RACING ENGINES for some special attention, I also got the werks 2058 pipe to go with the motor, time to get the motor installed into my HOT BODIES BCE D8 BUGGY.
Installed the werks medium clutch system with 4 x 1.0 springs for starters and mounted the motor & pipe into the buggy ready for the break in fun to start, the temps outside where 55f ( cold for melbourne ) so i fitted the competition heater to the motor for 5 minutes and got the motor up to 150f before i started the motor.
I set the idle gap before starting the motor and right out of the box the engine sprung to life and idled perfectly for the first two tanks on the starter box keeping a stable temp around the 175f mark through out the two tanks, I shut the motor down at the half tank mark during both tanks and placed the piston at BDC and allowed the engine to cool before re starting the motor.
I did pull the carby slide a few times during the idle process just to help keep the temps up as its a bit cold and wet to throw it on the ground and start driving it around but I hope the weather is better in the next few days, so far Im really liking the quality of the werks product .... well done to you Ron.
I shot some video and pictures during the above process

yes i do with a 2013 in a mbx6 i use the 2060 or 2042 header as the fit with the 2013 header isnt the best just drill the tiny spring holes and ur good to go performance i must say i havent notice any dif

I spent all day yesterday at LCRC practicing and trying different engine/pipe combos. 1st off i was very pleased with the 25XZ. Took a bit to get lowend tuned in since i actually had to adj midrange needle, but then it was good, real good. Very surprised how useable it is when you roll into the throttle. This engine acts exactly like a .21 with more power everywhere. I went up 1 tooth from stock on clutchbell. Big fat powerband with monster topend from a big displacement engine. Gotta check the tires after every run and re-glue when needed, lol.

Well i got a chance to put some more fuel through the engine last night, It was a cold night of 55f but I used my compitition heat to warm the motor to 150f before i started it up and started getting some fuel through the motor with some load on the engine, still wet out so I was under a loading bay at a friends warehouse.
I got another 8 tanks through the engine slowly increasing the throttle input each tank and also allowing the engine to cool down between each tank just to be sure the sleeve and piston make a good mesh before i take the engine to the track to see what it has to offer, The engine idled perfectly and the temps were around the 175f mark again with very little leaning of the bottom end during this period, HSN is still in the flush position.
So I must say that the CLOCK IS TICKING nicely and looking forward to this week end on the track.
