Default 1/8 setup wheels

Hudy makes a nice set of set up wheels for 1/8 buggy, but they are pricey.
Does anyone else make a set?

Are you talking about an off-road setup station? Hudy is probably THE one to get but Integy makes one as well.

Still on b/o but if you can wait.....

I was wondering if anyone makes a inexpensive version of this:

I have the Hudy wheels and they work great, pricey yes but cheaper than a setup station and I personally like to use them over a station. More user friendly and more portable and easy and quicker to use trackside. A friend has another brand but I cant remember the name, he got them cheap but they were discontinued and Hudy's are the only others I know of. You could allway's fab your own if you have access to some equipment.

Whats the point of using set up wheels when all of the adjustments will change to some degree the moment you put on real rims/tires? Or is my thinking flawed?

The settings acually stay pretty good when you put on wheels and tires, its just the setup wheels give a much better and accurate surface to measure. Use your camber gauge on your wheels and tires and then rotate the wheel 180 and measure again, it will most likely measure differently. They are just a tool, I like to use them some may not but thats how most things are.

Underway, they are used as Dragracechief say, and being made for 1/8 buggy they are the same diameter as your wheels, so any adjustment, including ride height will not change when you put the wheels back on.

Morkendi, i did a search for Dynamite sutup wheels and it looks like they are no longer availible. i found a picture of the red ones you speak of, they look like they were made for 1/10 sedan.

So it looks like i will have to fork out 58+ bucks and buy the Hudy set up wheel!
