Your worst than taco, you shouldn't even be allowed to comment on this RACING thread. Non-racer, worried about the appearance of a vehicle that's faster than your mod truck on your best day. Come with something worth talking about. Mr I got two freshly painted bodies and stickers for his radio yet won't show up to a event on time to show case the fresh art work, plain LAME I tell you LAME. ROLAND would smoke you with less experience and a brand new short course. Hell I'm willing to bet Shirley Cable would school you. Boy plz.
Interesting. I dont think SC look pretty compared to a 2wd or 4wd
Buggy....but I can say this
It is a replica of a real truck that does real racing in the real world!
Stadium truck...a cross between a truck and buggy, they called it a truggy! Haha...when translated it's for those that can't quite get a buggy down , need something easier to drive, something a
Bit more non realistic.
I appreciate all the RC vehicles when they produce good battles and give us good competition and something to watch. After all these vehicles we play with are for RACING, not just armor all and simple green eaters. Haha!

Well here are some thoughts we were considering for upcoming potential classes.
Since we have an increasingly growing interest in 2wd buggy currently, we thought of perhaps having a more Spec class. Most guys are coming from the 17.5 SC environment and enjoy spec type racing and so similar to most tracks out west and even some bigger tracks this way, there are SuperStock 2wd and Mod 4wd... Superstock usually being a 13.5 limited motor. That is a relatively perfect size and LEAST intimidating motor for RCHR as well.D
In addition , perhaps a uniform 10.5 spec 4wd buggy class as well. Some new 4wd's will be showing face soon anyway
Feel free to give input, please don't bash the idea, it's nothing definite, just trying to suit the majority so everyone has some fun.
Just agree or disagree, or even add additional suggestions!
But consider, if you've been in RC for quite some time, it is recognized that some of the most competitive, biggest classes, and favored racing was always some sort of spec class. (ie 19turn, 27turn, etc..). Just some thoughts. Even if we try this, it may take a while till we all get some spec motors , so nothing in stone, just ideas.

With the upcoming layout, this would be a good time to get into the 2wd/4wd game. I've seen a design of the layout, and it's going to provide us with lots of good racing.
With that said, I've run 17.5, 13.5, 10.5, 8.5, 7.5 and even a 5.5, in everything from my vintage RC10, B4, Losi XX, XXXcr, Kyosho ZX5, B44, RC10T, RC10t4, and SC10...I've come to this conclusion, the difference in lap times between a 17.5 motor and a 8.5 at our track is only about half to a full second.
13.5 is more than adequate for a 2wd, I ran a 13.5 at LIR and my laptimes were only about a second slower than the 4wd Mod buggies. I do like my 8.5 but I ran the 13.5 at RCHR with good success.
10.5 in 4wd is also plenty, I ran my Kyosho Zx5 at Vineland in NJ, which is a huge track, ran a 10.5 motor, and it was more than fast enough.
Some of the LIR guys come down to our trophy races and run limited buggy and mod buggy with the same 13.5 motor in both classes....
So I'm in....13.5 2wd class and 10.5 4wd class...do it...

I'll run 13.5, but don't see the point. The beauty of mod buggy is that it's run what you brung. No need to motor up or down for our track as a 17.5 is capable of getting everything done. IF we start traveling, then it's something to look into, but there aren't many of us that do go elsewhere.
That said, my 13.5 was A LOT faster than my 9.5

i think u guys are breaking up a class that is just starting to get full grids, run what u brung. you guys already said that u only loose a second a lap to faster motors, so a consistant driver with a smaller motor would be competitive. leave it

Many also like to grab a hand full of throttle instead of bAbying it, which also makes the 13.5 a choice for some who prefer this type of driving (especially newer folks)
Just more thoughts

Hey Steve,
I gotta say, you sir, just made my day, those were two of the funniest posts ever....keep it up, your comedy is better than your racing, so you should stick to what your good at, oh yeah...and getting in people's way in the mains....
I do agree with you in something, SC trucks are ugly, but the fun factor make them tolerable....
You know, some "special" people have a special gift, a talent of sorts that makes them geniuses in that particular subject...they're called SAVANTs.....so Brandon is a SC Savant.....

We know u are joking around Steve. And we know you hate SC. It's all good though.
All trucks are ugly IMO. But it's a fun class and of course popular.
In the end it's about racing, that why we go to RCHR, not just to dust off our vehicles. Get in Mod class with your SC and show us what's up! (or what's down )....pretty cars don't make the best cars
