Just an alternative, what about the Traxxas 2.4g rx/tx's? There are quite a few on ebay NIB, apparently taken from RTR packages.

i also have the traxxas link 2.4 and it works just as good as the specktrum but it kinda tricky to program it with the blinking lights menu. you gota carry the manual with you every wear you go with it if there is a chance that you will need to make changes it a pain. but once you goter set up she works great

Default Hobby King HK-310

If anyone has a Hobby King HK-310 we'd love to hear from you! The FlySky GT3B has a ton of features and very good range, but it is full of quirks that keep it from being a great radio. I know one person that has the $20 FlySky GT2 that uses the same receiver as the GT3 and GT3B and he really likes it. But what about the HK-310? It has Airtronics MX-Sport styling (but they are not compatible), only costs a little more than the FlySky radios, and extra receivers are only $13.26. You can by a used MX-Sport for about $60, but then each extra receiver will cost you nearly that much. So the HK seems like a good alternative if it works well. Speak up if you have one, let us know.

Two local guys bought the GT3B for indoor carpet racing on our small track and are having glitching issues. I always figure you get what you pay for. Save for a couple more weeks and buy a name brand set up. I prefer Futaba myself, but any name brand, while more expensive will treat you better in the long run. Just my .02.

Thumbs up HK-310

I was looking at the GT3b but was always on backorder so decided to go with the 310 to run my RC8RS. Push button bind was done first go with no issues, EPA holds position well, has good range (better than my eyesight), and failsafe works well. It also has more model memories than i will ever need. To many other settings to go through but played with all and was impressed for the price.
I am going to get another rx to try out on second Evader i am building to see how it goes with brushless system, will post results when done.

I came across another bargain radio on eBay from Skyion. It caught my interest enough to start a thread to learn more about it. The DX-Pro is selling for less than $40 and seems that it would be compatible with Sanwa/Airtronics stuff, but I'm not sure. Hopefully there will be some knowledgeable replies to that thread so we can all learn something. I see also that Firefox started a thread on the HK-310. That is another interesting bargain in 2.4 GHz radios.
