So which springs are better the K springs or the durango springs? Has anyone tried them on the 44.1? Does Kyosho have sets with multiple rates in them, or do you have to buy them separate??

The more you compress the spring the stiffer they get, the rate goes up. Main reason I wanted to try the K springs, is that they are more progressive than the associated springs.

I actually live in Niles MI, just haven't changed my profile from when I joined. I race at embassy rc raceway. We were closed last year but opening for a limited few races this year. I'm going to try to get to stateline at least once this summer. Probably go to proving grounds a couple of times, and maybe Leisure.

Well, one of the secrets of the pro racing circuit that I recently discovered is that many of the factory drivers out there find ways to sneak Kyosho parts onto their cars. You get what you pay for with Kyosho. Durango makes some great stuff as well but they're still working the bugs out of their manufacturing process - evidenced by the quality of some of their plastic parts (check the forums for the DEX410/DESC410R). Kyosho's been at it for a long time and has the best reputation for quality. In the case of the springs you'll probably be good either way.

I used some 1" heat shrink. Worked perfect.
