That's a sweet write up. I just had mine apart to replace the outdrive hubs and this is pretty much the sequence I followed except for the 400 grit on the dif washers. Good info.

the K springs are about 1/4 in shorter. you can get the ride height where ya want but it pulls the adjusting collars down a bit. I prefer to have them closer to the top....not sure why just picky I guess. I have not seen any durango springs around here....

I will say that I have 2 stock green springs that dont hit.....but I had to sort through a few sets to get them.Seems odd to me that this is an issue. Ive built lots of different shocks and these are the only brand to have these issues. bummer! Maybe it doesnt matter for performance on the track but it bothers me to hear it when adjusting on the bench.

Default Team Associated Offset Spring Cups (B44)

If you run out of thread adjustment for your collars on your shocks- try some offset b44 spring cups.

All this talk regarding shocks has me thinking. I've built and run several dozen on and off road cars over the decades, however these V2 shocks have me stumped. Just started running the B4.1 using Cav's setup but can not seem to get these shocks the way I'd like. If this makes sense, they seem to me to react like a shock that's missing oil, all the action seems to come from the spring with little action / resistance being provided by the oil. I've even watched the V2 video on the web site but this is exactly how I'm building / maintaining these shocks. Any secrets into getting these shocks setup are appreciated. PS, very cool write up above regarding diffs.

Ive noticed this too, browns seemed a little to springy when I raised and dropped the front end on the table. I went from a #2 piston to a #3 and black kyosho spring, this did seem to help, not as much bounce on the front end. Next Ill go up a tick on the oil and get the red front kyosho springs. It also help alot with my corner entry and mid corner steering.

I don't really notice it too much. I use a heavier oil than most others. I usually go with about 32.5 wt

Default Shock Rebound ?s

Has anyone else noticed that the V2 shocks seem to build up more rebound over time? I know when I build them and work the several times they will usually have about 1-2mm of rebound in the. After I take them off the car at the end of the weekend they seem to have almost 1/2" of rebound.

I feel that they slowly pull in more air over time and cause a greater rebound. I have started "burping" my shocks every night before I race. I pull the bleeder screw off and push the shock up and then insert screw back in to remove some of the air.

Anyone else found this to be the case? I am not ripping on the shocks, they seem very smooth and work well, just concerns me about the amount of rebound they build up over time.

Thanks in advance for the help and thoughts.

The shocks are pretty new, so I am going to guess that I am not getting the caps tight enough. I will try tightening them down a bit more and see if that helps.
