I have an 8t 2.0 coming this week, what do I need to know?
I have an 8t 2.0 race roller coming this week, is there anything that I should know? When I got the 1.0 a while back I was going through throttle servos because I didn't know about having to put the 1/8 o-rings underneith the battery tray So this time I figured id ask in hopes of minimizing any problems from the get go... Thanks!

The 2.0 has a better radio tray. 3 seasons on it and have not burned out a servo.
Alum servo horn - steering
Alum Servo saver
I dont run the alum rear diff any more. I have had more problems with those than just using the $3.00 plastic ones.
I will tear it apart and rebuild - thats just me. I want to make sure I know the truck and that it is put together to my standards.
The 8T 2.0 page has alot of good info as well.

Use the rubber garments on your servos and spacers if they are closet the chassis. Also make sure the the throttle servo is not hitting the mud guard if it is grind the mud guard down flat. Otherwise install an alum servo saver top and alum top plate for bling and you will be good for awhile. There are a ton of goodies that you can drop in your truck but most of them are not necessary.

Use hitec 7950 for steering and throttle on LIPO and your good. Try and avoid speed servos at throttle on the losi. Also try and avoid JR servos. Hitec 7955's will do if the 7950's are too spendy.

Whats wrong with "speed" speed servos? I have been running them for throttle for ever in my Losi. Curious.

I just found they burn out quicker however i never tried a hitec 7940 it was always the 9100s that died in a hurry on throttle. I just decided to go torque for both for longevity.

The speed servos just aren't necessary in 1/8 off road. I know some pros like to use them on the steering but that's not me. I always dial the speed back on my steerig. But a torque servo on lipo is plenty fast enough. Speed servos are a little weaker I think is what he's trying to say.

Hey guys thanks for the info and keep it coming! As far as what servos I will be using goes, I have a Hitec 7950 for the steering, and a Hitec 7940 for the throttle, and the rubber garments will be used..
Quick question though: I have several good sets of wheel and tires for my 8t 1.0 with the .5 offset, can I still use these with the 2.0 even though the 2.0 is a 0 offset?
