Default T Maxx is down Bros

feeling down right now. Was doing some inside jumping in our supply shop and things were going fine. Last jump was only a few feet and after it landed no more go, lol. Runs fine, spur gear is good and spinning, but it appears whatever is going on inside the trans box is not good. it just free spins in forward and reverse. Is this an easy fix? what kind of money does this trans require usually to repair? I was really looking forward to running it at the track this saturday when it finally gets warm here.

Can't know. No one will know whats going on inside the trans but you once you open it up, all we can do is speculate. Open it up, come back with the carnage pics.

It depends on what you broke inside. You can probably fix it for under $20.

The only way to tell is to take it apart and find out what's wrong with it! You can get parts at your LHS or Stormer Hobbies and eBay are great places to get parts cheap.

i took apart my trans this morning, the nylon gear that contacts the only metal gear in there was missing a few teeth. I replaced it and also picked up the forward only kit. everything is working perfect now and the repair was a lot easier than i thought it would be, probably mostly due to eliminating the reverse.
