Where are you trying to get traction? Off power, On power or all around?
thanks mo

When you assemble the Tamyia shocks do you use the Tamyia parts or do you put schumacher ends on them? Also what are the yellow springs that come with the shocks? And what length do you make them?

On the Tamiya shocks, I am using all Tamiya hardware. Not sure what the length is but it doesn't really matter as long as there long enough to set your droop to where you want it.

I am using Ti cvd's in the front and kit plastic in the rear. They are all holding up quite well.

I run the Steel MIP CVD's...no visable wear.

PW runs the TiR ones, has no visable wear and he runs tons with the spool.

Thanks MO!

on the cvd's I use TI and just change the blades. Although I think the diff slots have streched alittle but I have to measure them to be certain.

racenut, how long have you had the tir driveshafts?

The steel MIP shafts are available from Schumacher, with a Schumacher part number.

racenut, in the hole there is a metal insert, if that fell out, then the pin is going to bounce around and wallow out that hole, happened to me in oklahoma this past weekend. on the TiR ones that is.

The bushed Tir driveshafts should be fine in the front with a spool. My old set in my mission ran for ages with a spool and a one way, and the mission front suspecsion goemetry put massive stresses and loads on driveshafts. The Mi2 should be much easier on CVD's, so you should be ok. That said, if you are getting too much wear then yeah i guess you're going to have to change.

I have been using steel fronts and the stock plastic in the rear since I got the car and it's been holding up well with the spool. I even ran the spool with plastic fronts and got away with it for a race or two before they broke. The steel should be just fine.

Good luck to every shuie driver going to the Reedy race next week. I'll see ya'll sometime next week.

I think it's important to use steering stops on your steering blocks. I glue a small 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm shim onto the steering block depending on the track layout. This will help the car in the corners as well as help prolong the life of the CVDs
