Default Motor / ESC recommendation

I have a vintage 1/12 Tamiya 962 and would like to update the motor/ESC in it. What would be a good setup for this? I'm not going to get into racing with it, just do some parking lot screaming etc. Would like to go brushless/lipo if possible...

Thanks,

Paul

Default eZRun

You can pick up the eZRun 9T Combos for around $100.00 on line. Not sure if they do the 1:12 scale though, that's the only issue.

With the right gearing you will have a fast/responsive car.

I have this combo in my drifter and am really happy with it.

Do yourself a favour and search for eZRun 9T Combo on eBay They range from $83.00 >

It came stock with a 540 brushed motor and a wire wound resistor speed controller. Looks like the 9T is a drop in size wise...

So by rights, the EZRun 9T should fit.

I just looked at the recommendations for it and it states 1:12 and 1:10 scale.
