Life
Usually can be charged at higher rates
Flatter discharge curve
No requirement to run an LVC

Lipo
Cheaper
Higher voltage per cell
Higher power density for size

No reason to use life cells for most RC applications

Cheers

Better as far as what? LiFes are heavier for the same capacity and have a lot less voltage, 3.6v/cell fully charged versus lipo at 4.2v/cell fully charged.

Thats backing up in my book. Lifes are great for rcvr and tx pacs (in some cases), but are lacking as a main power source.

Plus, lifes seem to need a 20cycle break in and limited charge and discharge rates while in the break in period.

+1

There is a reason LIPO is run as main power in e-cars and LIFE run in tx/rx

I believe both were conceived originally as a safer alternative to Li-Ion.
