Default Hangar 9 battery

I recently got an old ofna starter box from a buddy that has a HANGAR 9 12v 7Ah sealed battery in it. I need to see if it still works but not sure how to test it or charge it. I have a venom pro charger will this even work? Any insight on this battery would be awesome.. thanks guys

Your venom charger has a Pb charge mode, so you can charge that batt with your charger. These batts respond best to low rate charges, I use 2 of these type cells and charge mine at 750ma. You can charge at 1 maybe 2amps at the most.

The suggested charger is a wall type charger that supplies 600ma and they tell you to charge it 'overnite'. Your Venom charger should tell you when its charged.

If your battery takes and holds a charge, one thing you might want to look at is a float type charger. Its what I use with mine - all you do is hook it up and forget it - this type charger maintains the battery at its optimum, never have to worry about it besides remembering to hook it up when you get back from running.

Its the same type thing I use on my motorcycle battery. You can get one from Harbor Freight for ~$10.
