Default charging pb battery

i have a 12v 7ah lead acid battery for my starter box and a turnigh accucell 6 charger to charge it .. i charge at .7amps when it gets to 14.7v is goes down to .2amps (i think maintaining the charge) my question is will it stay like that forever of eventuall stop and say battery charged or something like that?

also there is a number displayed in the bottom corner saying 00475 (varies a little) the manual says that is is charged capacity.. what does that mean?

the manual says it will terminate -"The audible sound indicates you at the end of process."

The number you're seeing (lwr rt corner) is the mah input to the battery. If your batt is flat going into the charge, that's not very encouraging, this should be a bigger number. I have the charger, but use a float type charger for my 12v batts.

Manual says it will charge to a max of 2.46v/cell - that's the 14.7v you're seeing, thats as high as voltage is supposed to get. I don't know why yours isn't terminating - do you have capacity set while charging your 12v?

On chargeing to the 14.7v, I guess you're seeing bigger mah number?

When you see it get to 14.7v, then its time to stop charging, its basically finished charging.

I guess the smaller charge may be some kind of trickle charge? That's really not needed for SLA batts though.
