Sounds like your gear mesh is too tight, mine freewheels fine.

Make sure your ESC has the drag break is backed off - I have mine set to 0 to get it like I want it.

Not sure what your used to driving but it is way different then any 2WD -

Gear mesh you need a good amount of backlash there - set it up similar to a nitro in terms of clutch bell to spur backlash is what I find.

I'll post a more inclusive review tonight or tomorrow, but I installed the new Castle 4600kv 4 pole motor in mine last night. It's tiny but NASTY. I ran it for about 5min. in the street hard on the throttle and brakes and it only got up to 95 degrees. Speedwise it felt almost as fast on 2s as my 3600kv Neu motor does on 3s.

Yeah - I found that as well, that's why I turned the drag brake to 0 it helped some... I still stay on the throttle a touch to keep the nose up but just not as much.
I also reduce the minimum break to about the lowest setting as well -

I know with the Kinetic ESC and NovaLink I can unlink the two otherwise they seem to affect each other (drag break and minimum break).

I run that exact same set-up in my lightened and modded Hyper 10, and its not laking any power! In my Ren & Stimpy Voice, "You Sick Little puppy you"!

I don't care for the rat nest on top of the rx but can't bring myself to shorten the wires just yet!
