Can anyone help me? I am having an issue I cannot figure out. I am new here and to the RC world. We have a traxxas slash, just put in a new motor and a few runs on it we have a problem. When running sometimes it will not respond to the controller's throttle commands. I don't have trouble with the steering only the throttle and not always. Can you help me? Not sure if it is the controller, ESC, or reciever? Maybe a loose wire? How can I go about figuring just which one it is? Are there any places here where I can see some sort of tutorial or a past thread that deals with these issues? I have been searching via internet and forums with no help! Can someone help or point me somewhere?

thanks alot!

If it wasn't doing this before you replaced the motor, then I'd suspect something about the motor wasn't quite right. Check the connections and see if one is getting warmer than the others, sure sign of a failing connection. May need to wiggle them while its running at low speed on blocks to see if you can reproduce the prob.

You may need to swap the motor again to see if the motor in there now is causing the prob.

Even though it's a new motor? I was thinking it might be a loose wire to or from the ESC?

Would think you can easily eliminate any loose wires by wiggling/slightly pulling on them. I've seen new motors with probs - like brushes that hang.

I have tried to wiggle them--haven't looked at the motor though! After I look at the motor what else would you suggest to go through without replacing recevier and transmitter, esc?
