Default Ballistic question

Okay, I've had my Ballistic 8.5 for about a year now.. I've overheated it to above 200 before but runs fine still.. I oil the bearings often and they are as smooth as can be. However, it doesn't spin smoothly. I recently got a ballistic 10.5 and it is way faster than the 8.5. So my question is, is the stator shot?

Default Shot

The rotor is probably hurt and maybe the stator. I would take the rotor out of the 10.5 and try it in the 8.5 . I've cooked my share of novaks and when they feel what I call mushy turning the shaft the Stator is bad.

+1 check the rotor first.

When you overheat your motor, you can both damage the stator and weaken (demagnetize) the rotor.
