OK WHAT did the "little birdie" tell you? Inquiring minds want to know.
I.E. "Little Birdie" is a common industry term to protect the industry source who needs to remain nameless. Most commonly used by Computer Industry types who like to push the limits of the NDA's they signed when they blab about new hardware coming down the pipeline well before the release date (NDA is Non Disclosure Agreement)

I may have remembered that one. I think someone might have been pulling your chain. There have never been any AMC products that I can recall, by any body manufacturer, unless you include the Gremlin Modifieds some of the east coast guys were hand making for dirt ovals back in the early 80s.
They may have made a replacement body for the Kyosho Javelin (Optima), but not the AMC/AMX.
