Default B44/Mamba7700 battery setup

Hi All

I've just acquired from a friend a Mamba 7700 system.

currently I'm running a B44 with Intellect Saddle 6000mah lipo's (7.4v 30C)

Keen to give the 7700 a try I'm preparing to install.

I've been searching the net to ensure my battery setup is appropriate for the 7700 - however I've been somewhat unsuccessful finding an answer.

Can I ask if anyone can confirm that the Intellect 6000mah LIPO saddle will be okay with the mamba system? I'm going to run either 14 or 16 pinion and already have Deans connectors on the battery (will solder the 7700 battery connectors to deans).

Also with the 7700 should I hard wire the motor to the esc (replace connectors?)

Many Thanks
Mark

A 14 or 16 tooth pinion will work ok with the 4600 or 5700 maybe......You'll need a 3 or 4 tooth pinion for that 7700.

The B44 eats motors. The 7700 is just wrong for that car. My 6900 ended up being a bad match as well. Try a Tekin, Murf, or Trinity 6.5 instead.

Is it the MMpro or the older MM Esc?

Hi

It's the mmpro , the unit is basically new.

I've read a number of people running the 7700's in B44's with good success, obviously it's all an experiment, my normal motor/esc is a LRP setup which I think in comparison will be much more sane.

What I have seen around 14T pinion seems be to acceptable.

My main concern now is ensuring the Intellect 6000mah 2S 30C battery I'm running the LRP setup with won't overtly cause any damage.

Cheers

+1
The 7700 needs to be geared with the smallest pinion and the largest spur you can get and it still will not be enough for your application.

Yes that lipo will work.
You may think your lipo is your only concern now but you will find out fast that the 7700 will not have the power you need. It's all RPM and no power.

The first thing you will see is your MMpro will run way to hot.

The first time you run it you'll think it's OK for maybe 3 or 4min. then it will shut down from to much heat.

Fitted it into the b44, 14T pinion and 6000 mah lipo.

It's certainly quick (stupid fast), you are right about the speed, it's not really drivable at full throttle, however if you can control yourself the straight line speed does feel good, just need the right (very big) track and some careful corner planning.

So far no issues with over heating.

Long term I think though I'll move the MM7700 into a road car!!

Cheers
