Whats the best runtime pipe/motor combo out right now?
#1
just trying to figure out whats the crazy long run time motor out right now. seems adam drake can do 10 minutes almost anywhere, any others?

I know the GX5R motor and 2072 pipe gets 10 mins in buggy....and more in truggy.....but this all depends on track conditions and clutch setup.....drake likes to run a really soft clutch setup...

Dynamite xpe euro .21 with 053 dynamite pipe runs really good. Not sure run time because the weather is cold and my tune is a little rich but im easily goin 7 mins with a little under half tank left in buggy.

Couple great fuel mileage combos are...
OS Speed XZ-B/2060
Nova Plus 4C Team/9901
The reality is that how you use the engine is as much a factor as the engine itself.

Its all track conditions and trigger finger.....hell I can set my epa and throw in a small restrictor and race.... and get 20 mins runtime......but I'm not gonna win lol......why is runtime such a big deal.anyways?....most motors out there (if setup right, and ur not a tokyo drifter) can get at least 8 mins to a tank....wich is all you willl really ever need....DRAKE has lost countless of races and had the best runtimes of the whole field....didn't help him win...just to go close to 11 mins a tank.....now if you can guarantee your gonna always have a shot at the lead, then yes 11 mins would be great.....sorrt I'm posting This from my phone....so it might sound like I have an attitude.....not at all lol.....just my opinion.....is it new years yet? Lol.....lots of big races coming in 2011....can't wait

I'm sure that is part of it, but it also comes from the way he drives. He is super smooth, and doesn't waste gas pulling the trigger in. That is what really gets you long run times.

Well since the titel of the thread is best runtime pipe/engine combo I am going to have to say my modified B5 on a 2013 ...run pretty much every engine under the sun and have never seen any other engine rival its runtime in Truggy...And thats doing it at a hauling ass pace too...this engine barks out big power and sips the fuel while doing it...sorry to seem like I am tooting my own horn, but this engine is really good on fuel and I would be lying to say any different.

Truggy or buggy? Open, hight speed track or tight and technical?
My combo is in my sig.
11+ minutes on open tracks, 15+ on tight technical tracks. With 8mm restrictor, and I'm NOT smooth on throttle.

i usually get 9 mins in buggy with js/086. and this is with minimal fuel line and no fuel filters. there are some guys getting over 10 mins in buggy with the js/086. all depends on driving style

The funny thing about these "runtime" threads is the engine and pipe per say has the least to do with runtime. I've seen everything get runtime, the driver, track and conditions are the deciding factor, not so much the engine or pipe. Believe it or not there's no miracle engine and pipe out there. I've watched one race get 6mins from a XX engine and I've seen another get 11.....
As long as you can make a qual and running less than 60 min A mains, 10 mins runtime has absolutely no advantage
BTW one wreck nulls any runtime advantage, so how many guys can run 45 mins without a single hiccup?
