Questions?? LRP Ai reverse brushless/brushed

I have the LRP Ai reverse brushless/brushed esc installed in a car. I have it wired to a trinity Komodo dragon 19t motor, which is brushed. I have a specturm 24 mhg radio that I am using to operate the car. The esc is set to automatic setup.
I have no brakes and unless I turn down the transmitter low end setting for the throttle, I get full throttle in forward and reverse. I have tried the NIMH setup mode and there is little change.
I have novak esc's that cost less than the LRP exc and the brakes are great.
Any suggestions

Did you ever get a solution to this problem? I just got the same ESC and I'm hoping it doesn't have the same problem.

I was running this esc in a touring car. I have a Spektrum 2.4ghz radio system and the LRP does not work with these radios. I replaced it with a Novak GTB esc and that setup is fine. I will probably put the LRP in my old Stampede which runs a 72mhz radio

The brake and throttle issues I worked out by setting the trim on the TX low end to 1/3. I never raced the LRP because I did not discover the incompatibility until I put a brushless motor in the car. The LRP would run the throttle fine, but when steering input was applied, the throttle cut out. I do not have any experience with this esc (LRP) using a 72mhg radio, so I am guessing that it will work ok with the 72mhg radio.

What application are you using it for?

I would not say that the LRP is useless, just not good to go with 2.4ghz radios. If that is what you have, bummer
