Team Orion #5 or 6. Use the #6 if it's hot outside (like during the summer) and use the #5 in cooler weather. I can't state strongly enough that it's a good idea to use the Team Orion plugs. They are designed for the engine (not to mention they are the best plugs on the market hands down).

That motor is not made by orion, its made in Taiwan and hence i recommend not buying one .

Hi Guy's
I require a new piston and liner set for my team orion mt ed. motor. Unfortunately I snapped the bottom of my piston off when i didn't make sure the piston was at the top when removing the back plate.
I was wondering if I can simply put an orion crf 5 port piston and sleeve into the mt ed. block or will it not fit and I need to source up an original mt ed. 5 port piston and sleeve????
Thanks

As revsinc said, this is a company in Taiwan who chose to use the name "Alpha" to create confusion. Make sure it's authentic Team Orion or you will be disappointed.

Another question: How did you pull hard enough to break the piston?

This came to me in a PM, but I thought interesting for the thread, so I'm posting it here:
Hi there. I think you are making a good choice
Have you owned other engines before? Just take your time breaking it in, and if you don't have a lot of experience, you can maybe get help from an expert level friend. I always seal up the carburetor before doing anything to the engine. Put grease on all the o-rings and just make sure there won't be any air leaks. Also, use a small zip tie on the dust boot. Pre-heat the engine if possible the first few times you start it. Just run some figure eights in a parking lot somewhere and make sure the engine is rich. Then after a few tanks take it on the track rich for awhile. It depends on the initial pinch in the engine, but once it starts to loosen up a bit after a half gallon or so, you can tune for power. I recommend the 2058 or 2013 pipe for that engine. 2058 is a little quieter...
Hi, I race on a tight budget, so I was looking into the Orion 3 port motor (sells for about $199). Do you have any suggestions for maximum power and reliability? Which pipe also. Thanks a bunch.

Pitpop,
I just recently purchased an used .24 ABI truggy for my D8T and i think it has 2 gallons on it. Since im kind new to the nitro scene, it would be nice if you can put a quick youtube video showing the proper way of sealing the carbs or the hole engine for that matter.
Thanks in advance,
Willie

I use Mugen super grease on Cody's stuff, but I know that is near impossible to get any more as they discontinued it. I'm looking for a substitute that is easier to find.
