Thumbs down HS-625MG pooped out

Hi,

I pulled out my RC again just last week after they repaved my street, I wanted to get the foams warmed up again and my engine turning so this was the perfect time.

Anyways I had it put away for a year after a great time running it, the servo was strong and worked flawlessly till last week.

After recharging my rx pack and my tx batteries, I went and turned it on to check everything. Everything looked good so I went and took it outside to get the engine started up, I couldn't get it started but I noticed that the steering response was slow and sluggish while my throttle was fine. Somtimes the steering had got stuck and then moved again. I was thinking maybe the battery didn't fully charge since I let it charge for 30mins or so .

So I tried it the next day and the samething happened, I let the rx battery discharge and recharged it again. Ok the day after I got the engine started, the servo was responding fine and I went to run it, woohoo got in a tank. Now today I wanted to run it again, got in the first tank and started to see the servo slug away so I went and charged the rx pack once again, but I saw it was nearly full still, so I let it finish. Started the car up again and half way through I was doing figure eights since I was adjusting the diffs and suspention to help the car travel better, while I was doing this the servo stopped responding, and since then it's been dead, I've swapped channels to see if it was the reciver but it was the servo.

I doubt I will be able to get a replacement as I got this a few years back, maybe when you guys released it, but I'm wondering is this normal? what could have caused this? anyone else get this problem with this or any other servo?

This servo has been in my 1/8 buggy, has gotten some road rashes on the wires when it was on my NRS4 which I put some elctric tape to fix it up and I did a damn well job. Then finally on my NTC3 where it pooped out doing figure eights.

I had the same thing happen to me. Same servo as well. I also had it in many different cars.

1st time it broke down is when I had it in my Pro 3. The servo felt warm, I thought it overheated. So I didn't run the car for a day or two. Went out to run it. The servo worked normally. Then after 10 or so runs, it broke down again.

Hmmm mine never went warm, I had even dremeled out the radio tray that day to let the servo turn and not jam when the arm hit the tray.
