Default NEW RACING TRACK MELBOURNE

Hi all, just seeing what support we can get for our new club..... We have a huge factory in LAVERTON MELBOURNE and were thinking of setting up an INDOOR OFFROAD and also a ONROAD TRACK. If feedback is good, we will be setting up for next year .... Also, the factory is going to have a CAFE and PARTS STORE, plus races will have cash winnings and parts up for grabs! Havn't yet planned out a cost for race meets and havent planned if we are going to do night or day racing. All feedback would be good, just to see what racers want! Thanks ....

if you build it, they will come.

an undercover offroad track was done many many years ago, and it didnt last long due to the electricity bill as it was done at night.

we are long due for an indoor facility, and although there is already one, its really only catered for walk-in patrons, not racers.

I'll be all in, offroad and onroad, myself and a few others race weekly without fail(yes sad life haha) but the track/s has to be A1/technical for your venture to be successful.

Keep the pricing reasonable, keep the grip high.
Approach clubs for support.

Get the track design and the pricing right and you will be fine.

Get it wrong and you will end up like all the others that have tried and failed.

You need to decide at the start if you are going to cater for racers or the general public as they are two very different groups.

I'd also go have a look at the other indoor track that's in Melbourne and do the exact opposite to what they are doing if you want to get people on the door.
