just like to add a report regards Neal aka maximo!!!!!.
I have one of the clocked b5 2057 long pipe
mbx6t 3 shoe clutch and 1.1 springs. We are currently
having are state title event.
I currently have a timed fuel run 15.55min till i stoped it
yes im a tad heavy on the finger and the track was very reasonable grip
now with this it makes the 10 min qualifiers with ease hope this helps. Im happy to write this and have had many flawless runs with the motor more then enough power so THANK YOU NEAL 1 HAPPY COSTOMER oh the motors 10 tanks old. And i use the engine heater for every start so it still has pinch and yes it was hand lapped
P.S this guys motors are no joke !!! buy and be impressed and run with a smile on ya dial

Would you buy it even w/ documentation? Posts of these incredible run times cause more doubt and speculation than helping to build the credibility of the modder and engine. Even if I did get a 15min run, I wouldn't post it, it's just asking to be called out.....my 2cents.

I hate seeing arguments over this kind of thing...
here's my take on fuel mileage... I get asked every day from customers what kind of mileage each engine gets, my answer is always the same, it really depends on your weather conditions, fuel, driving style, tuning, tank volume, track size and layout, traction conditions, tire choice. etc. etc... in other words there is no real way to say what kind of mileage an engine can get as there are just too many variables affecting it...Personally I have never seen a modified B5 get 15 minutes with my own eyes, however I have had some customers report back runtimes in the 15 minute range.....Most customer report back around 12 minutes till dry doing an easy 10 minute pit....Locally we timed several tanks till dry and most were around 11.5-12.5 minutes.... regardless of the actual numbers the modified B5 is extremely good on fuel, definitely the best fuel mileage of any engines we have run to date... I am happy to hear my customers have such good results and hope to keep getting back these positive reviews...
FYI for next year we are building a large clay track where we will be able to shoot proper track video for proper documentation of our engines capabilities....

will your documentation be under race conditions or just on vehicle on the track?

I totally agree with you though about fuel mileage. There are way too many factors to say what any given engine will do in different conditions. Driver, Weather, Tune, Clutch, Drivetrain, Pipe, Plug, Head shimming, vehicle weight, tank capacity, Driver AGAIN! etc...

take it easy maxi, wheres the argument?? u need to stop being so sensitive. YOUVE asked me for footage and ive NEVER made any kinda claim so your response is the pot calling the kettle black!
will your documentation be under race conditions or just on vehicle on the track?

Have you tested the modified speed for fuel mileage yet Neal? I would think it will rival those numbers pretty easily. Sounds like awesome fuel mileage whether it be 12 or 15 minutes. Either one of those is impressive for sure. I know I can do about 12 consistently in the truggy with my stock Worlds II speed and the XZ-B's are supposed to be even better on fuel. I have timed a tank at 14 minutes before and then backed that up with a 12:45 run driving much harder, so I think 12 consistently is a reasonable guess. I'm interested to hear what the modified XZ-B speeds are getting.

The reports are coming back of the new Speed doing 12 minutes on 30%..... still have nowhere near as many Speeds out running as we have B5's, so we will have to have more time to get accurate feedback... I do know the mod B5 is better on fuel then a last gen Speed when both are running 30%......Hambone has one of my B5's, hopefully you two can compare runtimes sometime in the future and report back your findings...

Well, never ran my B5 dry. Won't do that with any engine. At LCRC where i usually race we don't get the greatest fuel mileage since you got the throttle pegged so much. Jammincrazy can attest to that. This is what i can say for sure, i top off with a minute before the quals start, run a 6 min race and finish with 3/16" above the tank seam in my losi truggy. Did this race after race, week after week. In mains i just pit after 10 min since we usually run 20 min. Do i think it can stretch to 15 min on a smaller technical track? Maybe. Not sure. I'll know more next season. I know not too many truggies even make it 10 min on that track. So yes the V1 B5 does real well.
