How to do a proper cleaning after run?

Hi guys!
I would like to have more ideas on how to clean an electric RC cars after all the sand and mud gets into the motor, ESC, gears and so on... As there are electronic parts, how to get rid of the mud without using water??? Wise guys pls share your knowledge!

i'm not sure who makes it, but i've seen a lot of guys using some electronics cleaner that they sell at the LHS. it's just an aerosol can of electronic safe cleaner that you just spray your whole kit down with after use. if you do it, make sure to lube your bearings so they don't rust!

i use:
1.simple green (cleaner)
2.wd-40 (we all know what that is)
3.air compressor
4. I know you said no water, but i sometimes take out all elctronics and soak the chassis in water then dry then soak it with number 1 and 2.

I use Kalgard Prep & Shine on my car first when it's really clean. This makes it so dirt and dust can easily be wipe or falls off. Usually after a days running all I need to do is grab the air compressor and blow off the car and combined with the Prep and Shine almost everything comes off. This is not going to work in motors and anything electronic. But for the chassis roller it self it works great.
For electronics there is some electronic spray cleaner that was mentioned in the posts above.
Also another good cleaner is some diluted simple green.

The above recomendations are good. Aircleaner(canned or air compressor, simplegreen(I use Amazing a safe on all surface cleaner), old tooth brush, Q tips, motor/electric cleaner is good stuff as well. But you'll need bearing oil to hit bearing after motor spray. I found rubbing alc. works great to. If you have to use water then go over all your screw heads and metal parts to keep them from rusting. WD40 works well, but dust and dirt tends to cling and collect where you spray it. So I use rubbing alc. instead of oil.

- Blow off car with air compressor
- Spray car down with Simple Green and Water mix
- Blow off car with compressor
- Spray car with lubricant (I use XPS Spray lube but WD-40 will work in a pinch)
- Blow car off
- Wipe car off with towels
- Let car sit till lube dries

I agree with everyone, but that list is unbeatable.

Buy a cheap toothbrush and take your bearings out of the car,
and get the dirt off your bearings. WD40 although it works well
for bearings is actually bad for them, they will build up dirt over
time and your left with a big mess.
I started using Team Checkpoint bearing treatment instead.
ONE DROP on each bearing is all you need. I witnessed a slight
increase in performance using that stuff.
I also used a damp wash rag to clean the chassis and such.
Make sure you remove your electronics out of your car before hand.
Water and electronics dont mix!

thanks to all knowledgeable guys for sharing! now i have a better understanding.. but as some mentioned simple green and lubricant, i am still curious as to how the simple green can get rid of mud or sand stuck inside the tiniest part of the brushed motor and it is the lubricants which usually attracts all the dust and sand
...
I tried using air compressor for the fine sand particles, but those deep inside the electronics are impossible to blow them out.
As some mention to remove all electronic items from chassis before cleaning, so that means basically after every run, you guys will dismantle everything and rebuild them after cleaning?
Is there a simpler way so i dont have to remove and build everything back? For lazy bums like me? heh
