Default Traction

I was wondering if Kambah has plenty of traction, say more than eastern creek?

Also does anyone know what they used to resurface the kambah track with?

last time i was at kambah was for the meca round last year that was rained out couldnt make it back for the re-run for work comitments...

but somone tipped oil all over the track the night before for what looked like doing burnouts on the back loop before you come back onto the straight. i hope this didnt cause any long running damage to the circuit?

track was a nice track to drive on from my previous days practice, a little dusty, but what can you expect from a parking lot track - after a good sweep/blow it would improve heaps i'm sure

Dontfeelcold, can't help with your question but I have one of my own does anyone know what the stuff they put down on the concrete at Hoppers crossing (I think thats the spelling ) is, it has oodles of traction and does not seem to wear!! Any one from that club or from Vic that can help I would really appreciate it.

More traction than anywhere else i have raced!!!!

These days they are putting vht down before the meets. My brothers car was traction rolling down there last time with 35lbs and 40lbs springs!!!!!!!! Thats serious grip!

i love racing at kambah, i think they used some sort of tar emulsion paint, seals the surface, and provides a great base, i actually prefer when they dont VHT, but they do it for the noisy cars, otherwise they cant do a lap there.

i believe bob jorgo, was in qld for a little while but i heard rumours he is back in town, i hope he organises a big race soon, i know i will be there with bells on.
