Well, I have seen in the late 90s/early 2000s a side ways mounted OS engine in an onroad car. This of course was an early generation 4 stroke for rc.
This thing was able to leave a 4 wheel burn out mark in first through first and chirped into 2nd gear.
Lets see a 2 stroke do that. and I don't mean wait for the 2 stroke to come
up on the pipe. I mean from a stand still.
This was at Antioch, Ca Delta RC Raceway when they had a functioning onroad
course. (Now I think it is the dirt oval course. (Onroad surface is under the dirt)

I think that if a nascar engine can spin to 10,000 rpm with +4" pistons and 2.2" valves and an F-1 angine can spin to 20,000 with close to 4" pistons and +/- 1.5" valves, there's no way that a +30,00rpm engine with a 16mm piston and 5mm valves can't be made. to me its just a matter or effort.

Search Youtube for "losi 4 stroke" should be the first 2 videos that come up. There of my 4 stroke converted Losi 8T.. Still in the testing stage, running a $80.00 .52 converted plane engine
Tell you one thing, these 4 strokes will burn a clutch up in a few days! If i could get the power to the ground, id switch to racing only 4 stroke. Im also getting 12:30 to a tank, and gas is cheaper

I use airplane nitro fuel, 15% nitro 18% oil at a cost of $20 a gallon. Car fuel here for 30% nitro is $30 a gallon. Now i have also tried my own custom blend of 30% car fuel with extra oil added for 18% oil content. There really is no major difference in the performance of the engine. So i now just stick to the cheaper 4 stroke nitro fuels.

In the Late 90s, these existed for a short period of time.
Here is a video of a Tamaiya with a 4 stroke in it.

Does anyone know all the companies that make 4 strokes in the .20 to .60 range? I know saito, magnum and o.s., but are there anymore worth looking at? I am running in the electric ranks now but would like the challenge of trying a 4-popper

The 4 stroke SC truck is just about done
OS 40cx motor, old Sinyih buggy, 22 tooth clutch bell en route, aluminum heavy shoes en route, light springs en route, Throttle linkage is set with enough adjustment for any clutchbell, looking for a cheap SC body and some more parts to come in and It'll be a runner.
