I am just interesting what exactly mods on nitro engine you can do on that 3-axis very old milling machine? And if you find that hardness of material is out of specs-what is next step?
It is not to bashing, just try to learn something new for my self.

Edward.

Edward.
Im a knowledge freak and its nice to know how hard the material is on crankshafts from one engine to the next and one manufacture to the next etc using the Rockwell. Its not a must have machine but we have it so we use it to gain knowledge.

The CNC i can use to cut down head buttons VERY ACCURATELY as well as using it to machine other parts of the crankshaft etc. I also have an EDM machine that i have used to take weight out of the nose of heavy cranks for certain applications which works like a DREAM for that application. The CNC may be a little over kill but we have it so it gets used

And Edward this is not to bash you either by any means but i wouldn't think id have to explain these simple questions to you of all people. Makes me wonder if you really being genuine and want to learn something for yourself "which i dunno what i could teach you with those questions" or if your trying to be condescending especially when your using terms such as " very old 3 axis CNC machine" It may be an older machine but it works very well
