If it is more off than that, I'd take a close look at the plastic parts in the front end. Try swapping the arms and see if things change. I did have one arm that came with a slight bend molded into it. Couldn't see it with your eye, but it threw the ride height off at the back by nearly 1mm. Also make sure your chassis plate is flat.

Thanks Neal, my ride height is off about 1mm in the back it could be more. I'll give the front springs a try too.

Yes it will but you have to change the graphite pieces as well.
The main benefit is easier access to the motor and better weight distrubution left/right with BL motor.

ok, Im new to 12th scale and onroad in general. I got a used 5.1 and its time to rebuild the center and side shock. I pulled up the manual on ae's website and it didnt get me much on proper building. I am wondering what is the best way to buils/bleed these shocks? thanks

I hate to say this but the way the manual shows it is the best way to build them. Best tip is to go slow and be careful not to crossthread the caps. Fill them all the way up with oil and wipe off the excess after putting on the caps.

Be sure to use fresh o-rings when you do the re-build. That helps a ton. It is almost impossible to re-use the o-ring after it swells.
