Never tried the 2039. as far as pipes go try it and see how it works, there are so many pipes out there these days it can take a year to try them all....lol I just stick with what is made for the engine. Then you know you are getting the best mileage and power.

Hey Ron so I ordered a 2nd B5 and I'm going to break it in today. In your tuning bible I'm a tad confused. Do I start out with the idle screw 1.5 turns in from flush or start with 2.5 mm? Also do I start with the low end screw flush as well?

On the new carb 1.5 turns in from flush should get you right about 2.5 mm. You can start flush on the low end but with the wide gap you should have to richen it up from there for the break in.

justa, i have read the last 2-3 pages of this thread over and over and cant find any fault in your question. Why fellow racers would laugh at you and or your question, i just dont understand! In your defense i feel you deserve a public apology.

Now on a more positive note for all of you that have expressed interest in our new "Pro Clutch" system I'm happy to say that they are in stock and available at A-main now! Follow the link to find them:

The 34mm diameter flywheels fit the vast majority of the vehicles. The 32mm flywheels fit the X-Ray, Jammin, Kyosho and also can be used on the HB buggy!
Results in testing on these has been awesome, frankly they are every bit as good as our engines so if you given those a shot and liked them I'm 100% confident that you will feel the same way about our "Pro Clutch" also!

Do you have a thread just for the clutches? if not, What make this clutch different from the Losi? I see you have heavy, med., ligh 34mm and the same in 32mm. Just to makes things clear, I'm looking for information, nothing more nothing less.

I am really blown away at the small airgap you say to use ron. .5mm seems SOOOOO small compared to what I have been running for years.
I havent had the chance to tune with your system yet, Ill get to it this weekend. Looks like Ive been tuning wrong since the begining!!!! I love all the info you put out and the fact I have learned another new thing in this hobby.

Ran my 14th tank today thru the B5. Got it at around 220F on the pavement. Most all the metal pinch is now gone. Motor has been a breeze to break in and tune tho i do have one question to run by you.
My idle gap is about 5. or .6mm. High speed needle tuned to about 220F. Low speed is just barely in from flush. It idles good but pretty low. After a high speed run it will idle slightly high then a few seconds later drop to the pretty low idle. Is that correct? I don't think the slight high idle for a few seconds is high enough to cause a run on but i haven't had it on the track yet either. Any input?

Wait till you get the buggy on the track, tune in pavement is not the same as tune in dirt, you will find out that you have to lean a little bit more once you are in the track, why? the engine doesn't do the same effort than in the dirt. GL
