I have ran the B5 and now have a V-Spec. I can tell you from running both in truggy, you are making a bad choice. Do what you will, when this vspec goes, I am going back to a B5.

From the info I have read the RE10 is similiar to the OS 2060 and the RE11 is similiar to the OS 2050.

At PNB I was able to get 10+min on my OS Speed running the RE10 pipe.

If you keep the B5, you won't be dissappointed. But you decide to sell it for sure, give me a call.

The carburetor would have no effect on which pipe to use.

I'd like to congratulate Werks team driver Joseph Quagraine on winning the 2010 Finnish Championship. Joseph runs Werks "Race Blend" 30% fuel and with his results over the weekend brings home I believe it is the 3rd Finnish Championship for our fuel!

What's your number Shaun. I know the B5 is a great engine, the best customer service but after running my vspec for a little practice again I'll stick with it. And i already have a bunch of OS's and a grave yard of parts, i can also get parts easily and cheaper. Power is the same to me, I've seen plenty of them. Someday I'll try the b6, I need $800 for a new tki2 buggy!

howdy all, I have ordered a b5 for my mbx6t, I had a question about tuning at altitude. I am in colorado and we are at 5k ft. setting the airgap via rons method
at altitude would need to be slightly larger would it not?

I see what you are thinking but the answer to that one would be no it would not make a difference. The air gap that I specify is not for a tuning reason it is only to ensure that a sufficient amount of air can flow into the engine (when the throttle is closed) so that you CAN tune your engine properly (by adjusting your needles). So the air gap will stay between 0.5 & 0.7mm (on a broken in engine) but because of your altitude (and hence lesser air density which I'm thinking is what you had in mind) you will have to run a leaner needle setting for instance on your LS to get a steady idle than some one would need to at for instance sea level. The same will also apply to your HS needle setting but again your air gap is for all intents and purposes irrelevant to this once set to the number that I specify. Hope this helps explain things a bit!

Regards,

Ron
