I'll have to work on the picture tomorrow. It is not just the hole broken out but instead the whole..... ?nipple? is broken out of the front of the pipe. The hole is still perfect! The worst part is that I just finally matched this with our gen5? 7 port and it was silly fast even with a 6mm restrictor. I'm really starting to think that matching the pipeset and engine is critical. Easier to tune,runs better and better mileage, maybe pressure related? idk, maybe it's just me.
That 0801 of yours sounds like it might be a fatal injury (if I'm picturing what you have described properly). The 0801 is a good pipe, but very fragile as you have found out.
Two options -
1. Bite the bullet and purchase a new GO EFRA 2072 for the 7 Port. If you thought the 0801 was good, wait till you ring it out with the 2072 on it.

2. If budget is a concern, get a Dynamite Platinum Series 053 Hard Anodised pipe. The 053 is very nice on the 7 Port. Strong and smooth right through the range.
I know the go engines are awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guys at my local track have seen mine run and want to know where to get one, they are currently running OS .21 V-SPECS and the go engines will pass them like they arnt even moving!!!! no joke!!!! i am the only one running one at local track and is very impressive!!!

Anyhow this was the first time i've run a nitro buggy. I couldn't believe how fast that thing was. It was damn near uncontrollable. It took a few tanks until i got a good handle on it, but it absolutely flies. I'm really impressed and can't wait to try the 3 port out. I need to grab another clutch bell to put on the 3 port. I couldn't imagine any more bottom end power and top end speed. As it is at the moment, its almost overpowering. I don't see a need for any more horsepower, these engines are amazing.
My only concern is the 3 port has a ringing sound when i rotate the flywheel and it hits tdc, but i think that might be due to its compression and not so much of it hitting anything. Should it sound like that? The 7 port doesn't but then again it doesn't have quite as much pinch. Is there anyway i can test to make sure the piston is not hitting the glow plug or button head?
Heres a video of the pinging sound when i rotate the flywheel. I just want to make sure this is ok. Everything looks fine inside the motor, in fact there are about 3 shims (2 copper, 1 aluminum) under the button head.

I got a good deal on ebay for 3 go engines, 2 7 port and 1 3 port. One 7 port was brand new, and the other 2 are used. The 3 port has no residue in on the piston and glow plug button, the used 7 port has alot of residue. I threw the 7 port on my 8ight 2.0 and got to run it for the first time last night. Both of the used engines have good pinch the 3 port has just alittle more than the 7 port.

If it's still got pinch it will nip up tight at the top, but there should not be any metallic sounds like that.
I would strip it down and check everything out.
I think she is dead !! The walls are pretty thin, so I don't think it would be easy for anyone to weld or braze that back on - not without some pretty specialist gear. Get a 2072 and put that one down to experiance.

The the rod is easy to use and forms a strong weld too,
if you follow the instructions properly. I've used it to repair
a few pipes that were broken just like yours is. It also works
great for repairing the broken pressure nipples on THE O.S.
pipes. You can even polish the repair afterwards, if you want.
